To begin to build a dining chair for your dining room, use the measuring tape measure a mark towards the center from each corner on the 18X20 section of the ¾ inch plywood. You have to make these marks to show the points where each baluster would be placed for the chair legs. Next, you need to flip the 18X20 plywood piece in a way that the marks are at the bottom of the plywood. Measure and mark one inch from the 18 inch edge to create a 1X18 inch working area for the installation of the back section of the chair. Proceed by measuring and spotting every 2 inches along the top of the plywood, along the 1-inch spot line on the 18-inch edges. These marks will be made for the placement location for the back dowel rods. Measure and mark every 2 inches along the center of the ¾ inch edge of the 3X18 plywood. This section is to maintain a firm hold for the back of the chair and to cap off the dowel rods.
