The retailer's 2026 Compact Living Report finds that buyers routinely shop by the number of seats while rooms respond to footprint, meaning a shallower three seater can be the smaller purchase in practice than a deep two seater. The report sets out working footprints for armchairs through to small corner units and sofa beds, alongside the clear walkway each layout requires, and identifies delivery access rather than room size as the most common late stage reason a compact sofa choice is abandoned.
