Coffee Table With Storage Baskets, A Great New Green Look
If you’re going green, you have probably started becoming environmentally conscious of where your furniture comes from. While it might not save a tree that has already been cut down if you change out your bookcase or toss your dining room set, there are small things you can do to ensure your house has some earth-friendly sorts of furniture. One of the nicest “green” items I’ve seen recently is a coffee table with storage baskets. These coffee tables feature a tabletop and legs made from wood, usually the kind that is planted, harvested and replanted, also called a sustainable form of lumber. It is what lies under that table’s surface that makes this coffee table different from the rest. Suspended on wooden racks built below the table’s surface are baskets woven of wicker or rattan. Occasionally you might find one that has linen lining in the baskets as an added bonus.
