What To Do With Your Old Home Furniture

Redoing your house is a very exciting time. One of the quickest ways of giving it a bit of a facelift is by replacing all your old home furniture with new ones. New sofas, dining tables, coffee tables… the whole jolly lot! But what do you do with your old home furnishings to make room for all the new ones? Luckily, these days there are plenty of options available. So it’s simply a matter of sitting down and working out which one is easiest for you. You could, get in touch with your local charity shops and see if they need anything that you might have. It’s likely as well that they may be able to come and pick it up for you. So you can get rid of old belongings without much effort on your part. Alternatively, you might prefer to donate your possessions to one of the local theatres in your area. Interior design trends are always changing and evolving, and it can be a bit daunting if you’re about to do your house up and can’t work out where to start. Before you start shopping for UK bar stools and other home furnishings, why don’t you get yourself some tickets to one of the many interior design shows going on this year so you can seek out some inspiration and lots of new ideas? This year’s Grand Designs Live exhibition is on between April 29th and May 7th at London’s ExCeL. How To Achieve Sherlock-Inspired Home Decor

With one of the most popular TV shows back on our TV screens again. We here at Furniture in Fashion thought we'd take some time out to come up with a few ideas for transforming your home decor. And giving it a bit of a Sherlock-inspired makeover this year. Sherlock itself is a fantastic crime drama TV series based on the famous books. The books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman and Mark Gatiss. It first aired in 2010 and the latest three episodes have just aired on the BBC (although this season doesn't appear to have been quite as well received as previous ones). It's won all sorts of Emmy Awards and has been critically acclaimed by all sorts. Working from home is becoming ever more popular, and for the majority of us a lot easier to attain. Gone are the days when you needed a large computer, printer, fax machine and landline telephone. Technology has revolutionised our lives in so many ways, and the opportunities for home working are just one example. But while our working style has changed, our homes don’t always reflect that, although one US news provider highlighted a change that’s occurring stateside, and it’s likely a similar trend will follow in the UK.
