The Home Builders Checklist, Everything Your House Needs

Building home is definitely not an easy task living room furniture  and might make you cry if you jump into this process without a plan. So keeping yourself organized so that the home building goes in an exactly the same way as you desire requires a checklist which would contain everything your house needs. This list will not only make things easier for you but will also help to preplan your home building process.

Every home needs not only décor but some basic foundations in order to have a perfect structure and arrangement. For this reason your checklist must contain the point of footings on which foundation walls will be constructed. Make sure that the footings are continuous under all the walls and have two steel bars too. Check if the foundation is square and plumb. The thickness of the wall must correspond with the code of backfill height. Check if the insect control like termite control has been performed before the slabs and lumber are placed. Your checklist must contain the aspect of vapor barriers which must be present in all slabs from basement to garage. Check with the staircases width which should be of 36 inches. Do confirm the height code of the stairs. Check with the air/water infiltration barrier if they are placed on exterior walls or not. If they are not placed externally then what will prevent the wood from rotting.

Solid wood blocking is a compulsion in any home so that you could hang tub grab bars, towel bars, drape rods, heavy pictures etc on the walls. Check with the ceiling fans in every room and their proper switch boards as well. similarly aspect like furnace, AC, water heater, water supply piping, valves, drain piping, soundproofing etc should be the part of your builder’s checklist.
