What Size Display Cabinet Do You Need for a Conservatory?

Conservatories are wonderful for light and garden views, but they bring a different set of challenges when it comes to furniture. Most walls are glazed, temperatures swing sharply through the year and sunlight is strong. For most UK conservatories, a low or medium height display cabinet, typically under about 120cm tall and around 30cm to 40cm deep, placed against the solid house wall or a brick dwarf wall, works best. In this guide we explain why conservatories need a different approach from other rooms, then offer sizing advice for lean to, Victorian, Edwardian, P shaped and T shaped designs, as well as orangeries. We look at why height affects the view, how depth protects walkways, and how sun, heat and condensation influence the materials you choose. We also suggest what to display, how to pair a cabinet with compact seating and open display units, and share a quick planning checklist to help you get the size right first time....
