It warns that corner sofas are chosen more often than rooms support, generally needing at least 2.5m on the shorter leg, and identifies seat depth rather than sofa width as the specification that decides whether a sofa suits a room. The analysis sets coffee table placement at 40cm to 45cm from the sofa edge, and argues that layered lighting changes a British living room more than rearranging the furniture does.
