Furniture in Fashion's Nest of Tables Affordability Report opens by declining to do what its title implies. No published UK series matches average earnings to prices for a single furniture category: the Office for National Statistics publishes average weekly earnings and a furniture and household goods component of the Consumer Prices Index, but neither supports a wage to price ratio at product level.
