Furniture in Fashion examines the relationship between exterior lighting and domestic security in UK homes, and sets out plainly what this report does and does not contain. We have not commissioned survey fieldwork, and we do not publish percentages we cannot attribute to a named public source, so the analysis is built from lighting specification, established crime prevention principles published by UK public bodies, and our own editorial judgement as a retailer. The report explains why glare undermines surveillance, why a single high output floodlight often performs worse than several low level fittings, and how entry points, boundaries and access routes should be treated differently.
