There is no published five year price series for hanging egg chairs in the UK, and Furniture in Fashion will not construct one. No official body or named trade association tracks the category, and the Office for National Statistics covers furniture and furnishings only as a broad group, so any index presented as fact would be an invention. That absence is itself the finding: egg chairs sold under the same name differ in frame metal, weave polymer, cushion construction and suspension rating to a degree that makes a single price line meaningless.
