The Seasonal Demand Data Hub: Free Charts and Figures for Journalists

Furniture in Fashion has published a seasonal data hub that deliberately contains no demand charts. No public body publishes seasonal demand figures by furniture category in the UK, and we do not release our own sales, search or customer data, so producing a chart would mean inventing the numbers behind it. Instead the 2026 hub gives journalists three things they can actually use: a quotable reference table of standard UK furniture dimensions and recommended clearances, a guide to the genuine public datasets that do exist including the Office for National Statistics Retail Sales Index and Met Office UK climate averages, and our editorial account of the four calendar pressures behind British furniture buying, namely daylight and weather, the school year, hosting at Christmas and Easter, and the moving cycle.
