Furniture in Fashion reports that downlight spacing in UK homes fails most often because beam angle is ignored, not because the number of fittings is wrong. Our reference analysis sets out the relationship that actually governs a layout: beam angle, ceiling height and the working height at which light is needed, spaced so the pools of light meet at that height rather than at the floor.
