spring  Spring Decor 2016

Colours

When we consider decorating, we think the colours  first. And for good reason: they can soothe and inspire, and even set out a mood for a day. So, yes, colours are really important! While choosing colours for any of your rooms don’t hesitate to turn to the Pantone 2016 selection. Pantone Color Institute knows everything about colours, so, they have chosen the top palette, which is based on consumers’ preferences.

This year’s colours are Rose Quartz, Peach Echo, Serenity, Snorkel Blue, Buttercup, Limpet Shell, Lilac Gray, and Fiesta. The majority of colours manifest mindfulness and tranquillity. This atmosphere can be created by using 2016 colours of the year – Rose Quartz and Serenity. Even though both shades are extremely soft, they still add a certain dynamics to the interior. The hues challenge the general idea of colour combination, reminding of the male and the female principles. It is interesting that they do not confront, but complement each other quite well.

Eco

This trend has gone through several modifications over the last few years. And it is still the top one! Sure, a great number of ecological problems that we face cannot be solved by implementing some Eco-element in one’s décor. But we always have to start somewhere. Moreover, each person needs a shelter, so the primary goal of the Eco style décor is to make you feel protected and relaxed, reminding you of the things that matter. Eco-design does not tolerate any plastic. So, if you feel that buying new furniture made of natural materials only is too expensive for you, it is better to renovate the old items. Also, think of using décor elements made of recycled materials. For example, a kitchen counter or a dining table made of recycled glass. The idea is both stylish and affordable.

Minimalism

Minimalism remains a trend this spring due to its obvious advantages. It is not only about buying and possessing less things, it is about freeing your home from anything that is not really needed. It may seem that fewer items make it harder to decorate the place. Indeed, where did all the pictures, massive armchairs, cushions and everything else go? How should we decorate the living room with just a sofa, a coffee table and a couple of shelves? On the other hand, the ability to do so reveals one’s creativity and makes our homes clutter-free. This spring, the décor is to be ergonomic and functional. The minimalist style will certainly help you to achieve this effect.

Finally, remember that only leading decoration trends will stay relevant next year. So choose wisely! Do not let fashionable tendencies make you forget about who you are, but learn from them and implement only those ideas that will make your home better.
