Start Here: Tighten Every Fixing
The fastest way to stop a bed creaking is to tighten every bolt and screw on the frame, then check the slats are seated correctly in their supports. In the great majority of cases that is the whole problem. Bed frames work loose gradually because every movement you make transfers load through the joints, and once a bolt backs off by even half a turn, two surfaces begin rubbing against each other. That rubbing is the creak.
Strip the bed back to the bare frame so you can see what you are working with, then work methodically around every joint with the correct spanner or Allen key. Work Out Where the Noise Is Coming From

Wooden frames creak where timber meets timber. Once you have tightened the bolts, look at whether the joint faces are worn. Timber compresses over years of use, leaving a fractional gap that the bolt can no longer close.
A candle or a bar of soap rubbed into the joint face is an old remedy that genuinely works, because it lubricates the two rubbing surfaces. Beeswax is cleaner and lasts longer. Avoid oil based lubricants such as WD40 on furniture: they penetrate the timber, stain finishes and attract dust.
