Design a beautiful Living Room

A Living room should be beautiful and attractive. Many points need to be considered while designing a living room . First of all the position of a sofa must be appropriate, since a sofa or couch is generally the largest piece in the room. The placement of sofa  must be decided after carefully studying the room. The placement of a sofa decides the position of everything else. The main rule when placing a sofa is to keep it in such a manner that the door is easily visible from the sofa, even if you have to keep it in a corner or along a wall. If the sofa is kept along a wall, then you should keep a table with reading material on it. Reading material always gives a welcoming effect to people who enter the room.

There must be a place which is considered the center of attraction in the room. All eyes should be drawn to that place, in other words, it should be the focus of the room. It can be anything, or place in the room; a piece of artwork, a beautiful lamp, or a fireplace are all good examples. Carpets and rugs can also serve as design elements, and as such, should be chosen and placed with care. The usage of a given living room will decide the size and position of a rug. If many people use the living room then it’s usually wise to choose a dark color to minimize signs of traffic. To add an inviting and comfortable look, then it’s better to use a woolen rug.

The last step is to add items in the room. Give a cozy effect by keeping oversize pillows, maybe one or more lamps on tables, or a small rack with books and newspapers, these can all be fascinating decorative items. If you need to add balance in the room, add some pendant lights, mirrors, Chinese art, or wall paper. Tall plants in one or more corners will add freshness to the room.
