Storage Ideas for Small Living Room

Choose living room furniture  that is open air, such as sofas  with no arms, Use small rugs in the center of the room, you can also position small tables in the middle of the room. Place shelves behind a curtain, so that only decorative items are visible. Place a hidden cupboard which is built-in to the wall and not visible to guests. Choose a stool or setee, which has space inside where you can keep useless items. These items may include the books that you usually read, or extra cushions or pillows for guests if they arrive unexpectedly. Try to hide the unattractive storage with the help of a sheet. One example of unattractive storage can be a cupboard placed in a living room.

Ottomans can be used in the living room so anyone can keep their items under the Ottomans. Some shelves and drawers are quiet necessary with a media station in the living room. These drawers can be filled with a few things. In most houses these are over-filled, and whenever anyone in the household is searching for something, they inevitably fail to find the article. So try to keep these under control and don’t change the place of things placed in theses drawers, since it is quiet annoying.

Another idea is to use a shelf unit which starts from the bottom of the floor and touches the ceiling, with several shelves inside it. Shelves with square boxes increase the capacity of things that can be kept on the shelves, these shelves are mostly known as Egg- crate shelves. A mix of materials are usually kept in these shelves, like: books, magazines, decorative material, plants, pottery, scenery, and many other things. In some cases the length of egg crate shelving is such that, you could easily keep folding chairs on top for guests.
