Moving and Storage Solutions: Tips on Organizing your Stuff

Moving opens so many new opportunities. Are you excited? We hope you are. But, no matter what your feelings about moving are, you want to make the whole process quick and safe. And not only for you but also for all of your possessions. Here, we offer you moving and storage solutions, which will allow you to enjoy the process. You just have to consider our tips on organizing your stuff !

Organize

Quite surprisingly, we advise you to start choosing moving and storage solutions with … a paper folder. Everything in your moving process should be organized carefully. Make a checklist of every item you are going to move. One more checklist should contain people and organisations to notify before you move.

Clothes Moving and Storage Solutions

Although boxes are considered the moving ‘classics,’ it is better to store clothes in bags. Do not try to fill the entire bag, because your things can get rumpled. Put all the hangers in a separate box. The main rule of packing clothes  is to sort them. If you pack shirts, then gather them all together, and put a whole bunch in a bag. You can do the same with pants, suits, dresses, and blouse s. Try to find suitable storage bags for each type of clothes.

Pack a Box Right

When you put fragile things and dishes in a box, separate each item from the other with special packing paper. One of the greatest moving and storage solutions is to use paper towels. They are much softer, easier to fold and will protect things better. A box should not have any free space left. Fill the gaps with paper, rags, plastic bags, etc. This way, your new dining) will not lack any dishes.

Know What’s Inside

You should label all the boxes carefully. It will help you spend less time unpacking. Don’t forget about ‘the main box,’ which is the one you will need on the first day in a new home. One should be very careful with dishes and any other fragile things. To make sure every person helping you with the move knows which boxes contain those, mark them. The best way to do this is to use red duck-tape on all sides. Or, you can simply write ‘fragile’ on each of those boxes.

No Box

Have you thrown the packing plastic from your huge monitor long time ago? Don’t panic! Monitors are not necessarily kept in the box. To transport a monitor, it is enough to protect the screen with cardboard paper and place inside your TV stand).

Additional Precautions

Make sure that the boxes are not overloaded. Otherwise, moving them will take you more time. Books can be perfectly stored in wine crates. When you use duck tape for fragile boxes, do not just seal them, but wrap the boxes with tape on each side. Duck tape is much stronger than cardboard, so your heavy boxes will not fall apart.

Finally, moving is not just a great opportunity to get a new start, but also to get rid of the things that you don’t need. Select carefully. Take only necessary items and declutter as you pack. And our moving and storage solutions will help you deliver the essential stuff safe and sound
