How To Decorate A Yellow Living Room

Playing with the yellow colour in living room  can be a fun experience. Yellow, is without doubt, one of those colours that lend an instant touch of warmth and liveliness to the room. Yellow should be complemented with other colours. The colour yellow can be contrasted with varying colours to create astounding combinations for your living room.

Add yellows and greens in your living room and get an instantaneous green, ‘pasturey’ feeling! Contrast yellow with white and your living room has a breezy, flowing feel to it. Complement the yellow in your room with a bit of red and create that regal, aristocratic feeling. How to contrast colours with yellow? One of the ways to do this is to get alternative walls or even some patches of the living room painted in colour such as red or white. Cushions with contrasting colours will look great with yellow couches. Choose curtains in combinations of both yellow and contrasting colour to create that vibrant, glowing look. Usually, oranges with hues of yellows look great. Dupe a whole wall with orange paint, throw in couches in combination of both yellow and orange, rugs in yellows and oranges and see how a monotonous yellow turns into an animated one!

If choosing to complement yellow with blue, you might think of including the colour blue through not just rugs and decoration pieces but by also hanging out scenic paintings in your living room having that touch of blue in it. Blue and yellow will surely create a serene and fresh looking living room. To give the room that sunny looking feel, you can choose not to use too much of other contrasting colours.  Arrange cane furniture  in your living room and while you are at it, you might as well bring in some indoor plants to create that wonderful, sunny feeling, making your living room the liveliest place in your home!
