Homemade Birthday Party Planning Furniture Made Simple

Some people go all out when celebrating a birthday. Whether it’s a baby’s first or a grandparent’s ninetieth, we want to fete them with a party that they will remember. Many people will opt to have these occasions catered. That’s great if you’ve got the money. Still, many find that a catered affair is too impersonal and lacks any real “gift” on the part of the party giver. Homemade birthday party planning furniture  is catching on, as much for the time and effort that shows your love, as for the amount of money you can save. Here are some ideas to make your homemade celebration a success.

If you can bake a great cake from scratch, you are a lucky person. Fortunately, for the rest of us there are cake mixes a twelve-year-old can handle. Canned frosting is fine. You can also find ready made candied decorations and special novelty candles. Making the cake using these handy helpers ensures it’s edible, and can save you money.

Themed parties for birthdays, especially children’s birthdays, are popular. Your nearby party supply store has kits containing all the things you’ll need. You can get their favorite cartoon characters on the tablecloth, napkins, plates and cups, streamers and party favors. If you are homemade birthday party planning, try a roll of plain paper taped to the tabletop. Let the kids spend the time before the party starts decorating it with crayons. Use plain paper plates and cups. Using a crayon, write each child’s name on his or her cup. It keeps them from getting mixed up and makes it personal.

Make your own confetti with construction paper and scissors. This works for adult parties, too. Just use shiny wrapping paper instead of construction paper and sprinkle it on the tabletop.

A homemade birthday celebration can be fun, festive and will be all the more treasured because of the efforts you put into it.
