Bathroom Renovation Ideas, In the First, Second & Third Degree

If you have been looking for some tips on how to change the look of your bathroom  without emptying out your wallet, then you’ve come to the right article. I understand the need for a fresh new look in the bath, and I want to share a few of my bathroom renovation ideas for those of you on tight budgets.

First, bear in mind that there are three degrees of bath remodeling. The first is the cosmetic change-up. This is fast, cheap and fun. The second is the replace a few big items and rearrange the rest. It falls in the moderate price range (cheaper if you can do the work yourself). The third is the complete overhaul. This one will cost you big dollars and require a pro. So, your first job is to decide which you want to do. If you’ve elected a first or second-degree remodel, I can help.

In a first-degree makeover, start by changing wall color or coverings and using bright, contrasting or coordinating new linens. Some bathroom renovation ideas  for this superficial change would include adding a decorative swag over the mirror and maybe hanging a couple of nice wicker cabinets to clean up clutter. You’ll encounter nothing too expensive and nothing difficult in a first-degree fix up.The second-degree makeover usually involves replacing at least one fixture or maybe replacing carpet with tile. These larger, more difficult changes may require a contractor. Once they’re done, try a new shade of paint, some color coordinating towels and shower curtains and you won’t recognize the room.

Remember, a complete redo is not always needed when all you want is to freshen up the look of your bath. Sometimes, tweaking just a few small changes that can create a huge overall difference in the way the room appears and in this sort of instance, change is good.
