Add words like “warm mocha colored sofa in suede-like material”. Now you’ll have only a half dozen websites contending for your attention. Check a few of them out. Chances are they’ll have that sofa at a great price. And the sofa can be the focal point you use to pull the room together.

Of course, you can shop places other than the Web. Almost every city or large town has discounted furniture stores. Some used furniture is worth a look, especially since you’ll pay a fraction of the original cost and it’s often in mint condition.
