Decorating Orange Living Room

The combination of orange and yellow never seems to fail! Be it walls, furniture  or other accessories in the room, you can always incorporate some of yellow to make the room come alive with your creativity.

Painting alternate walls with yellow will do the trick immediately. Or you can even get the whole wall covered in any hue and combination of yellow. Place yellow lampshades besides  the orange wall to get that instant sophisticated look for your living room. Yellow decorative pieces or paintings on that wall further complement the orange colour of the room. When it comes to seating, chequered yellow and orange cushions will be a charming addition to the room too. However, orange in a room might be paired equally well with shades of dark brown. Bring in accent of dark brown in the room and have a playful, vibrant combination of colours.

If you are thinking of combining orange with other colours, black may be another choice. However, black has to used in a careful proportion to avoid making the room look drab. With the living room  in orange, sleek black couches and metal centre table to give that suave look to your room. Too much of black in the living room will leave it looking a dull and insipid one. Throw in a few things in whit such as rugs, decorative vases, curtains or another pair of couches and you will have a simple yet elegant orange room to go! Other arrangements in which orange will make the room an exuberant one are orange and apple green; orange, cream and chocolate brown; and orange and red. Again, too much of a colour can be pain in the eyes and one has to be cautious while choosing an accent in a darker shade such as orange.

With the right amount of colours then, an orange room can be made an amazing one!
