I wonder if the console table and the word consolation have anything in common. I cannot think of a single piece of furniture that does more to cheer up a blank, boring spot of wall than the narrow, rectangular console tables<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a> that provide an attractive accent along with some storage and some display space to areas where other pieces of furniture would just stick out like a sore thumb.<\/p>\n

Best of all, since console tables<\/strong> come in plenty of styles, and are built to sit close to the wall, so they don\u2019t block walkways.<\/p>\n
