The UK modern furniture retailer reports a clear move away from high polish chrome towards brushed brass, aged bronze, matt black and warm timber, paired with deeper clay, sage and muted blue wall colours rather than the all white bathroom of the previous decade. Because a mirror occupies a significant share of one wall in a typically compact UK bathroom, the report argues that wall colour is effectively doubled and should be chosen with the reflection in mind. Brushed finishes are favoured for hiding water spotting at close range. The analysis also identifies light temperature in illuminated mirrors as a colour decision in its own right, and warns that cool grey walls and warm brass frames are the pairing that most often disappoints.
</oembed>
