“Also fashion was changing on a weekly basis and we were often stuck with stock we couldn’t sell because the following week a new range would have entered the market so we changed focus and decided to sell furniture.”

Furnitureinfashionis recorded a £5m turnover in 2011, up from £4m last year. The major clients include ITV, BBC, Google UK and Selfridges. The 25% growth over the last year speaks volumes about the future prospects of online business in furniture industry. The move into the 50,000sq ft premises, set in 3.5 acres of land in Farnsworth, will bring warehousing, showroom and distribution centre under a single roof. The company continues to excel in shaping the trends of fashion in the furniture.

The sponsors can cash in to associate themselves with the name because online retailing is proving to be the latest trend in the industry. The company ships its products all over UK, Ireland, Scotland & Wales where the sponsors can gain coverage. The diverse nature of customers can help the sponsors to access different industries.

Furnitureinfashion has operations involving online order acquisition, customer support warehousing, packaging delivery and after sale services. The company currently employs 26 individuals in Bolton and the headcount is bound to increase once the new office is operational. Asad said: “Furniture is more durable, and when customers were not buying clothes during the recession, they were buying good quality dining and living room furniture. We found earlier on that with furniture we can still sell lines that were introduced four years ago.” The £1.5m spent on the new facility has made the retailer to look for some sponsorships enabling them to finance their operations and promotional activities.
