Three Great New Bathroom Design Ideas For Kids

As parents, we want to create an atmosphere in our home that inspires and affirms our children. We spend our time and money making sure their bedroom is a happy, loving environment. Why not do the same with their bath? There are lots of great new bathroom design ideas for kids that can carry your loving touch from the bedroom into the other room they call their own bathroom furniture

Children’s bathrooms  differ from those used by adults in a number of ways. Not only don’t we typically have cartoon character shower curtains, our bathrooms are not safety oriented. A child’s bath should be. One design idea that is gaining popularity is the rounded corner look. With the corners of the counters, the edges of the tubs and even the base of the toilet rounded off, there are fewer sharp edges to cause injury. Also, the softer lines work great with a pastel color scheme.

Another great bathroom look is less about safety than it is about style. Using the same colorful hues found in a kid’s crayons, you can get countertops and cabinet doors, even floor tiles to brighten up their space. A wooden step stood with colored steps helps them reach the sink and the bright hues can be echoed in the shower curtain and bath linens.

My personal favorite in hot bathroom design ideas  for kids revolves around nature. They have cabinets and hanging fixtures with animals all over them. The rainforest or the deep woods, you can choose from a tub spout that looks like an elephant or a floating bear soap dish. It’s a look you and the kids can both have fun with.

So, do take into consideration making you child’s bath another place to inspire and affirm. It’s a great way to make sure they enjoy spending enough time in the bath, too!
