Teak Bar Stools, Do Outdoors With Upscale Style

Exotic teak bar stools , tropical, expensive, these are just some of the adjective that I think of when I ponder the idea of teak bar stools for an outdoor bar. There is no disputing teak is the best wood for use out of doors. Its weather hardiness is legendary. After all, almost all major cruise ships have teak decks and deck chairs. Why? Because they hold up to the weather and those ships know about weather. Still, the wood is a bit over the top for a casual patio bar. Then again, maybe your bar isn’t all that casual?

If you can afford the best, buy it. I don’t know who said it first, but I’ve heard it repeated by many people in my lifetime. It does make a sort of crude sense, like some modern proverb for rich living. I suspect the real meaning translates into, “if you have the money to buy the best, why settle for second best?” That translation makes sense to most of us. We buy the best we can afford, and if you can afford to go all out with a poolside bar that has the best of everything, then go for it.

I’ve seen great pool bars. They have an air of casual sophistication. Because of their out-of-doors location, the look is usually tropical or bohemian, offering up a taste of the good life where the sky is blue, the water is bluer and the scent of spice is in the wind. They convey to us a need to relax, slow down and enjoy ourselves. If there is a pool nearby and a bit of steel drum music in the background, you can imagine yourself on the beach at St. Kitts. This is the sort of bar where teak bar stools would look right at home, and one place where I would approve of the extravagance wholeheartedly.
