Furnishing a studio is unusual because there is no room to phase the purchase. In a house, a spare bedroom can stay empty for a year. In a studio, the bed, the seating, the storage and the eating surface all have to arrive at once, because they all occupy the same room and each one determines the space available to the others.
That compression is what makes the ordering of the budget so important. We advise treating the bed and the primary seat as the two anchor purchases, because they are the largest, the least flexible and the ones used for the most hours. Everything else is fitted around them. When people invert this and buy the decorative layer first, they usually end up with a bed or a sofa that is the wrong size for what is left.

The most expensive mistake in a studio is not overspending, it is buying something that cannot be delivered into the room.
