How to Set Up Your Laundry Room for Maximum Efficiency

Mismanagement is the last thing which anyone would like to see in any corner of the house at all. Laundry room  is one such place which isn’t usually exposed to everyone but if fairly arranged by consuming the available space could make it multifunctional. If you are highly organized in your life, you may not feel accomplished and satisfied unless follow a laundry cycle which comprises of six phases: furniture stores 

 

  1. Gather
  2. Sort
  3. Clean
  4. Dry
  5. Fold
  6. Put away

Following this cycle is only possible if you have an organized laundry room with no dirty laundry on loor  and toppling stacks of clean laundry too. In order to make your laundry a clean, space efficient and may be a place to enjoy, here are few of the tips which will help you enjoy your laundry too:

 

  1. If your laundry has space, employ cabinets and shelves in order to place the fabric softener, detergent and stain removing agents. Place the shelves and cabinets at a place from where you could easily access the detergent etc. you can also place a countertop or table on an appropriate level in order to place the folded clothes. This would also help you avoid bending over and over again.
  2. Employ a bar for hanging clothes like slacks and shirts straight from the dryer. Similarly. Install the dry rack as well for placing the folded dry clothes.
  3. Choose a bag for dry clean clothing only. Along with it, make a schedule monthly or weekly of when to drop and pick the clothes from dry cleaners.
  4. Use hampers designated for delicates, jeans, whites and darks separately. It will help in organizing and saving time as well.
  5. Always keep a bowl or basket in which you can place the found items like lipstick, money, receipts etc. In order to give a proper functional look to laundry room place a bulletin board and place fabric care instructions and stain removal chart.
