The most important consideration is natural light which all artists need. Ideally you can have ample natural light in your home with northern exposure lighting. In case you do not have enough light available, you will have to buy full spectrum lighting in order to have ample light in your workspace. Although spectrum light is artificial but it sure resembles natural light which would help you to see textures and colors accurately. Develop a proper work space in order to support your work. You would need an easel, titled drafting table, empty table and lots of floor space. As the art supplies come with fumes so you need to have an area with great ventilation.

You will require organizational system in your workspace as well to assemble supplies and tools. You will need many storage boxes, shelves, drawer space and cabinets. These components will not only help you keep your space tidy but also save your valuable time in searching for things. Installment of sink is very important in your work space as you will need to clean many things there. So install plumbing in your workspace with a durable surface which would not get damaged.

In the end, make your studio inspiring by using favorite colors on walls and even murals in order to create artistic ambiance. You can hang your paintings and pictures on the wall as well. using color and textures of different tones would depict a real studio feel.
