Freedom Of Your First Home, Living Room Furniture

The interiour of our homes is the only environment over which we have real control. We are born into a world at a specific time in history, to a country with its own landscape, to our parents’ house in a given location, to school and work.

The environments that go with these are largely beyond our choosing unless we are a politician or an architect, perhaps.

When we buy our first home we are finally masters of our own space – it is ours to do with what we will. We are free to express our tastes and interests in the colours, furniture, pictures, textiles and objects we choose, limited only by our budget. Our homes are of vital importance; when we walk through the front door we enter a domain we have tried to make comfortable and peaceful.

Furniture plays a dominant role in this because it occupies a large part of our living environment it is an important part of the human environment, it brings order and form to our daily lives – from the bed we sleep in to the table we eat at.
