Bathroom Design Ideas For Vacation Homes

We may have a prim, tidy and quite classically decorated home where we live forty-eight weeks out of the year. That’s all right. We’re typically tidy and classy people. We do enjoy, however, using a little more fun and creativity when decorating that beach house or mountain cabin that is our home-away-from-home the other four weeks we circle on the calendar. That includes indulging our whims with some fun bathroom design ideas  that give the vacation home some atmosphere.

If you have a rustic cabin in the mountains where you escape and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you probably already have a woodsy-theme in the making. Have you taken it into the bathroom yet? There are great bathroom accessories  that will fit right in, helping to play up the look and still be functional in their assigned roles. Mirrors framed in rough wood with wooden bears on them can replace a typical vanity mirror. You can use a moose-head shower spout and even get rugs that are braided like an old-time cabin would have had. Go with the theme and, splash it all over the vacation bath!

If it’s a house on the beach, you have almost endless options. You can choose bathroom design ideas ranging from a lush tropical look to a day at the beach style. If you opt for the tropics, think palm fronds, parrots and bright bird-of-paradise colors. The day at the beach is less subtle an all about using beach towels for bath towels and storing your spare toilet paper in a picnic basket. A beach umbrella striped shower curtain gives the look real appeal.

So, live it up with your vacation home bath. No one from the city will see it. A word of warning, though, if they did, however, they just might be a little envious.
