5 Ideas To Organize Your Closet

One of the things most of us really don’t like is cleaning up the closet. And because we are reluctant to do it, it gets more and more cluttered each day. But what you really need to do is to develop your own system that will prevent clothes and shoes from piling up and turning into a chaotic rumble – then it’s all settled! Of course you can use a clothes storage, they are very handy and demand less work and cleaning up, but most of us still end up with having one (or even more!) wardrobes on their hands which need to be dealt with. Here are the best ways to organize your wardrobe that don’t require much of your time.

Don’t be a hoarder

If something (especially underwear) starts to get old and loses its charm, don’t be afraid to let it go! It’s not something to be ashamed off, things wear off, it’s an absolutely natural thing. And hoarding old stuff is the worst thing you can do to your wardrobe.

One of the best ways to organize your wardrobe is to get rid of the things you don’t wear

There’s a simple trick to organize your bedroom closet : put all your clothes on hangers with hooks facing one certain side. If you put on something – turn the hanger to the other side, so after half a year if you still have some stuff on hangers with hooks turned away, it means it’s time to throw some things out.

Choose a wardrobe with drawers

While buying a new wardrobe is not the least expensive solution, it may be the easiest one. A wardrobe with drawers allows you to keep all your things separately. Now the shirts, blouses, shorts and trousers will never mix together. You can even put them all on display to create a stylish look.

Separate your things

The best way to organize clothes is to separate them – by color, style or occasion. For example, keep your ready to wear things closer to the surface; dresses or suits for special occasions can be stashed away so you don’t have to deal with them every day. You can also put similar things together – blouses with blouses and so on, so it’s easier to create your look when you need something to wear.

Use dividers and see-through boxes

Dividers are a heavenly invention for any kind of drawer . Small items (like socks and underwear) don’t tangle together and you get a beautiful and organized drawer. Another great way to organize clothes in a closet is to use see-through boxes for shoes. They can look fun as you can use different colors, and they are really handy as you can actually see what’s inside and pick what you need in no time. It’s also a good idea to put the things you wear most in front. When it’s spring, it will be a good idea to stash winter shoes somewhere in the back of your wardrobe.
